What's new
Frisson changes most weeks. Here is what's different, newest first. Ideas or something that looks wrong? Email jason@tryfrisson.com.

A second song, and why it is there
Under your Fingerprint, tap the part of your song that gets you (the build, the voice, the words, the groove, the peak or the calm). Frisson finds that same thing in a song from somewhere you'd never look, and says what it shares with yours.
-
No more generic results
If Frisson can't write your reading, it now says so and lets you try again, instead of showing you something generic that isn't really yours.
-
Reloading keeps your place
Refresh the page partway through, or on your finished result, and you stay where you were instead of starting over.
-
Two more questions, if you like
Your city and whether you play an instrument now sit open under the email box, with a line on why they help. Both stay optional.
-
The homepage fits your phone again
A long song title in the Latest named row no longer pushes the page off the side of an iPhone screen.
-
Origins from the original release
Your song's story now starts with its first studio release, not a later compilation, live tape or reissue. Older pieces like Clair de lune follow their own history instead of a modern album.
-
Duets get their real story
Songs with more than one artist, like Barcelona or Under Pressure, now find their original single.
-
Which song by them?
Typed the artist's name where the song goes? Frisson now asks which song you mean before it guesses.
-
Chills count
If a song gives you chills, goosebumps or tears, your Emotional score now says so.
-
Busy archives no longer lose your song
When the music archives are slow, Frisson waits and tries again, and tells you it's doing that, instead of saying it can't find your song.
-
What do these words mean?
A new link under your Fingerprint explains all six dimensions in one plain line each, Ineffability included.
-
Refining your result sticks
When you tell Frisson "Not quite" and it rescores you, your share link, your card and your page now show the new scores too.
-
Share cards made for feeds
Your card now fits LinkedIn, Instagram and X without cropping, with a bigger title and a labeled Fingerprint you can actually read.

The Weekly Drop
One song every Monday that everyone hears together, plus a second one picked for your Fingerprint. Listen, mark the moment it hits you, and your Fingerprint gets a little more true each week.
